Project Cuddle is a non-profit charity that helps frightened girls and women in making safe and legal decisions instead of abandoning their newborn babies.

John Stamos has joined up with his friend Debbe Magnusen, Founder & CEO of Project Cuddle to help in her crusade to stop baby abandonment. Together they were Executive Producers of the new “Believe” Campaign DVD. Project Cuddle is distributing this educational DVD to schools, shelters, and clinics nationwide in order to educate girls and women of the safe and legal alternatives they have to abandoning their babies.

Project Cuddle helps frightened girls and women that call the toll-free, 24 hour crisis line and helps to empower them to make safe arrangements for medical care, shelter, food, clothing, and so much more.

Project Cuddle never judges those that call and each call is handled with TLC by a caring operator that is anxious to assist her in finding safe solutions. Our goal is for each woman to walk away with her head held high, knowing that she has made a decision she can be proud of for herself and her baby. She has the option of selecting a pre-approved “Rescue Family” with an open or closed adoption, to raise the baby with the help of the proper tools and/or shelter Project Cuddle has provided, or to safely surrender her baby at a designated Safe Surrender site in her state. Project Cuddle is here because we care!

Project Cuddle helps frightened pregnant girls and women through difficult times. We help provide shelter, prenatal care, and unconditional support throughout their pregnancy.
The way it works: Someone will call 1-888-628-3353 and speak with a caring volunteer, while others will email us via our web site. Once we are contacted, we will offer ways in which we can help. Many need guidance regarding medical care, housing, counseling, while others just need emotional support, supplies, or parenting classes. We tailor each case to the specific girl or woman as needed. Many choose adoptive families who have pre-approved home-studies, and others will get support in their decision to raise their baby in a loving environment.
Project Cuddle is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We provides a crisis line to give safe and legal alternatives to abandoning your baby. We have a small (but mighty) staff and a large base of volunteers to keep our charity running. Our Advisory Board and Board of Directors are all volunteers who make themselves available with open hearts when Project Cuddle needs them and we love them all dearly.
